Blacksheep Wellbeing is a space for people who’ve been through difficult experiences and want to understand themselves better, steady their emotions, and rebuild their sense of self. A space for anyone who feels overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected — and wants honest, grounded support without judgement.

What We Offer

My approach is straight forward and human. No jargon. No pressure. Just real conversations and practical support that meets you where you are.

Black Sheep Wellbeing offers steady, grounded support for adults who want to understand themselves better, make sense of what they’re carrying, and rebuild their sense of self. Our work is trauma‑informed, relational, and shaped around your pace — no pressure, no jargon, no expectations to “perform”.

You don’t need the right words. You don’t need a perfect story. You just need to show up as you are.

Trauma Support

We work with people living with recent, ongoing, or long‑buried trauma. Together we focus on:

  • understanding your reactions

  • managing overwhelm

  • grounding and stabilisation

  • making sense of what’s happening inside

  • rebuilding confidence and identity

You don’t have to relive anything or tell your whole story. We work safely, steadily, and at your pace.

Depression Support

A calm, grounded space to:

  • talk openly without judgement

  • understand what’s behind the low mood

  • explore patterns that keep you stuck

  • find small, realistic steps forward

  • reconnect with meaning and direction

You don’t have to pretend you’re okay here.

Bereavement & Loss Support

Grief isn’t predictable. It can come in waves or quietly linger for years. We support people experiencing:

  • recent loss

  • long‑standing grief

  • complicated or unspoken grief

  • identity changes after loss

  • the emotional impact of caring for someone

This is a space to talk, remember, process, and breathe again.

Emotional Regulation & Grounding

With a relational, integrative counselling core, sessions help you:

This is steady, reflective work that supports you in rebuilding from the inside out.

Identity Rebuilding

When life knocks you down, it can take who you are with it. Together we work on:

  • reconnecting with who you are

Working With People Who’ve Been Let Down by Systems

Before retraining as a counsellor, I spent years working in residential and frontline support settings, including:

  • young people’s homes

  • disability services

  • autism and neurodiversity support

  • mental health and crisis environments

These roles showed me what trauma looks like in real life — the survival, the resilience, and the quiet strength it takes just to get through the day. They taught me how to sit with distress, listen without judgement, and support people who’ve been overlooked or failed by the systems meant to help them.

Becoming disabled myself changed my life again. It forced me to slow down, rethink everything, and understand vulnerability from the inside. I brought all of these experiences together — military, engineering, disability, residential care, frontline support — and retrained as an integrative counsellor.

Black Sheep Wellbeing was created for people who’ve had to be strong for too long.
